I Say I'm Fine, But I'm Not
About the Book
Have you ever said “I’m fine” when you really weren’t?
Maybe you felt hurt but couldn't explain why. Maybe a small misunderstanding turned into an argument. Or maybe you kept your feelings to yourself because you didn't want to upset anyone, only to find those feelings building up inside.
In I Say I'm Fine, But I'm Not, Camille explores a skill we all need but rarely learn in school: how to understand our emotions, care for ourselves, and communicate what we truly feel.
Through relatable everyday stories, insights from psychology, and practical exercises, this book offers a step-by-step guide to building emotional literacy—the ability to recognize, regulate, and express emotions while understanding the feelings of others.
Emotions are not problems to fix or feelings to hide. They are signals that help us better understand ourselves and what matters to us.

Why I Wrote This Book
Through my work with HerPower, I realized that emotional literacy is a skill everyone can benefit from, regardless of age.
While our workshops provide opportunities for learning and connection, I wanted to create something people could return to whenever they needed guidance or reflection.
This book is an extension of that mission: making emotional literacy education more accessible and encouraging people to better understand themselves and one another.
