Hello! I am Joy, a high school student at Earl Haig Secondary School in Ontario, Canada. I am very excited to lead the HerPower Chapter at our school, allowing more young women to have access to support, tools, and resources that can help them in their journey.
I’ve always been someone who values learning and logical thinking. However, as much as I value my rational side, my emotional side is just as important for me. I really enjoy using all forms of art to express myself and how I am feeling. HerPower’s mission deeply resonates with me because it bridges both of these worlds, combining knowledge with emotional understanding. I want to help other young women build the same balance. To feel confident in their strengths, resilient in challenges, and empowered to express themselves. Leading this HerPower chapter would give me the chance to create a space where girls can grow into strong, self-aware individuals ready to take on anything that comes their way.
